How the Evening Will Work – What to Expect
18:30 – Arrival:
Guests will be greeted in JJ's Wine Bar at The Old Crown Coaching Inn, giving you a chance to relax and mingle before the evening’s mystery begins.
19:00 – Enter The Ballroom:
You’ll then be invited into the Ballroom to take your seats, where the immersive theatre experience kicks off. The actors from Mistress Murders will introduce you to Chaos in the Countryside, set in modern-day England during the Beaumont family’s annual shooting event.
The Story Unfolds Over 7 Courses:
As you indulge in a luxurious seven-course tasting menu, the murder mystery will unfold. Each course is interspersed with new developments in the plot as tensions rise among the Beaumont family, and an inheritance at stake causes drama to erupt.
Interactive Experience:
After the murder occurs, the inspector will begin questioning suspects, but it’s up to you to help solve the case. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with the characters throughout the evening, asking questions and investigating possible motives. The actors will even join your table during courses to give you more chances to dig into the story.
3-4 Hours of Immersive Entertainment:
Expect 3-4 hours of suspense, drama, and comedy as the mystery deepens. The interactive nature of the performance allows you to fully immerse yourself in the storyline and contribute to solving the case.
Fancy Dress (Optional):
You’re welcome to wear fancy dress, though it’s not required. If you choose to, embrace the theme and get into the spirit of the night!
By the end of the night, after a thrilling plot and delicious food, you’ll have to decide—who’s responsible for the chaos in the countryside?

EVENT PROCEDURES
Our murder mystery experience is one like no other. Mistress Murders provide luxury, immersive, theatrical performances beautifully paired with excellent food.
Immerse yourself
Following a drink in the Wine Bar, you will be asked to take your seats where the immersive experience will begin.
The evening will typically last for around 3-4 hours. Fancy dress is also welcome for all guests though optional
Solve it
The murder mystery then plays out over the course of the 7 courses.
Once a murder has happened and the inspector has questioned each of the suspects, you will then react and interrogate suspects with any questions that they may have as they interact with you throughout the evening.
